PRODUCTION MODERNIZATION

ArcelorMittal - the largest foreign investor in Ukraine. With it's arrival to Ukrainian market the company has undertaken significant investment commitments, including the industrial sector, to ensure that the company development and also to keep it's competitiveness in modern conditions.In 2011, we completed construction of the first of PJSC "ArcelorMittal Krivyi Rih" continuous casting machine (CCM). The high level of automation in the continuous casting department provides a safe working environment for our employees.

In PJSC "ArcelorMittal Krivyi Rih" enacted installing furnace steel processing such as "ladle furnace" and six dispensing streams for radial type of CCM. The main advantages of continuous casting of steel - high economic efficiency, energy and resource efficiency, full compliance with the specific requirements of the rolling processing.

CCM in PJSC "ArcelorMittal Krivyi Rih":

· capacity - 1.2 mln. tons \ year;

· production - blank square 150x150 mm of carbon, structural and alloyed steels;

· the length of the blank - from 9 m to 12 m;

· the cost of the project - 120 million. dollars.

The effect of continuous casting technology:

· energy savings (gas, water, electricity) 10% energy savings per ton of steel in steel production; reduce the specific energy consumption per one ton of metal 10%

· improved product quality: ladle furnace allows refining and alloying of liquid steel, and can significantly extend the grades; improve the quality of rolling surface, uniformity of structure and properties of metal

· labor protection: reducing the share of manual labor; reduces emissions of harmful substances into the atmosphere

· yield higher than 10%; To reduce metal loss by 10% trimmings

· operational availability 90% higher;

• ease of maintenance.

Therefore, PJSC "ArcelorMittal Krivoy Rog" pays great attention to the quality of all manufactured products. One of the proofs that we do concern about the high level of our products - acting on a quality management system. It's first certification, took place in 1994, when the company had obtained a certificate of compliance with international standard quality system ISO 9003. Since 2010 quality system of PJSC "ArcelorMittal Krivoy Rog" meets the requirements of ISO 9001: 2008, developed by the Technical Committee of the International Organization for Standardization. In 2011, the company successfully passed a supervisory audit of quality management system ISO 9001: 2008. In PJSC "ArcelorMittal Krivyi Rih" approved Quality Policy, which includes the objectives of the enterprise in terms of quality and the basic principles of achievement to be an effective producer of high quality competitive products.
