TEXT 5 (I / L)

My uncle is the complete opposite of my aunt. It’s amazing they get on so well. Or perhaps that is why. He is very tall and rather thin and he has got short wavy hair with a side parting. It looks a bit old-fashioned but it suits him. I am not sure how old he is – about 45 I think. His eyes are blue and he has got thin, arched eyebrows. He has got a square chin and he is always clean-shaven. He always wears old clothes, usually bought from my aunt’s charity shop. He is very quiet and calm. He works very hard and a typical habit of his is to forget to eat when he is working because he is so interested in what he is doing. My aunt has to remind him to eat, sometimes she has to go and put the food under his nose. I always remember the time my aunt came home and found my uncle had not slept for two days. He was just too busy! But I think it is because he is so involved in his work that I admire him. He designs computer games and he may not be practical in other ways but he is brilliant at his job. He started working on games as soon as he left college and now he has own small company and employs a couple of friends to help him. He is like my aunt in one way. He always has time for people. He likes us to bring our friends round to test out his games before they go on sale. As you can imagine, that makes him very popular with our friends!

I cannot say which of the two is my favourite relative. Luckily I do not have to choose between them, I can just enjoy them both.

arched [A:tSt] – изогнутый
